Description
This Christmas Salmon recipe is a festive, elegant main course featuring tender baked salmon glazed with honey, Dijon, and cranberry-orange sauce perfect for holiday dinners or special gatherings.
Ingredients
2 lb salmon fillet, skin-on
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp cranberry sauce (or cranberry preserves)
1 tbsp orange juice
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh orange slices and rosemary sprigs, for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Place salmon fillet skin-side down and pat dry with paper towels.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon, cranberry sauce, orange juice, olive oil, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
4. Brush the glaze evenly over the salmon.
5. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
6. For extra caramelization, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
7. Garnish with fresh rosemary and orange slices before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the glaze up to 3 days in advance.
For a smoky twist, add a dash of smoked paprika.
Pairs beautifully with roasted potatoes, wild rice, or a festive salad.
