Ingredients

  • 23 pounds beef roast
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • French rolls or hoagie buns
  • Sliced provolone cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in the crockpot.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the onion soup mix, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce, then pour this mixture over the beef in the crockpot.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the beef and mix it back into the sauce.
  6. Assemble sandwiches with the shredded beef and optional cheese on French rolls or hoagie buns.
  7. Serve with au jus for dipping.
