Ingredients

- 2–3 pounds beef roast
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- French rolls or hoagie buns
- Sliced provolone cheese (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the beef roast in the crockpot.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the onion soup mix, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce, then pour this mixture over the beef in the crockpot.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the beef and mix it back into the sauce.
- Assemble sandwiches with the shredded beef and optional cheese on French rolls or hoagie buns.
- Serve with au jus for dipping.
Notes
Select a well-marbled cut like chuck roast for the best results. Use quality rolls for an enjoyable sandwich experience.
