Description
A delightful family favorite featuring zesty lemon and savory Romano cheese, perfect for busy weeknights and special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup Romano cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Pasta, fresh salad, or roasted vegetables for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Dip each chicken breast into the lemon mixture, making sure it’s fully coated. Then, coat each breast with the grated Romano cheese, pressing lightly to stick the cheese to the chicken.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Sear each chicken breast for about 3-4 minutes on each side until it turns a lovely golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
- Serve with pasta, a fresh salad, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
Notes
Searing the chicken adds a golden color and enhances flavor. Use fresh ingredients for the best results, and allow the chicken to rest after baking.
