Description
This Pecan Pie Dump Cake is a foolproof dessert with all the flavors of classic pecan pie gooey caramel filling, crunchy pecans, and buttery cake topping baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
1 (15 oz) can evaporated milk
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar, packed
3 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups chopped pecans
1 box yellow cake mix
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together evaporated milk, corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
3. Stir in chopped pecans and pour mixture into the prepared baking dish.
4. Evenly sprinkle dry cake mix over the top (do not stir).
5. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, until golden brown and set in the center.
7. Cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Add a drizzle of caramel sauce before serving for extra sweetness.
For a nutty twist, use a mix of pecans and walnuts.
