Description

Crispy and sweet Air Fryer Apple Fries, a delightful snack perfect for family gatherings and movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep apples: Start by peeling the apples if you want, and then slice them into fry-like sticks. Make sure to pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. Set up coating stations: Grab three bowls for your coating stations. In Bowl 1, add the all-purpose flour. In Bowl 2, whisk together the egg and milk. In Bowl 3, combine panko breadcrumbs with sugar and ground cinnamon.
  3. Coat apples: Dredge each stick in the flour, dip in the egg mixture, and then coat in the panko mixture.
  4. Air fry: Lightly spray the coated apple fries with nonstick cooking spray and place in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Cook at 380°F (190°C) for 7 to 9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dips like caramel sauce, yogurt, or whipped cream.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcrowding the air fryer and adjust cooking times based on your air fryer model.
