Description
A delightful dish of tender salmon baked with zesty lemon and rich garlic butter for a flavor explosion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs Salmon Fillet, center-cut
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper, freshly cracked
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped, plus more for garnish
- 1 Lemon, thinly sliced for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly oil a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 60 seconds until it becomes fragrant.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in the lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley.
- Pat the salmon fillet dry with paper towels, then place it in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil, and season with kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Pour about three-quarters of the garlic butter sauce over the salmon. Lay the thinly sliced lemon on top for an extra burst of citrus flavor.
- Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, until it turns opaque and flakes easily when you poke it with a fork.
- Remove the dish from the oven and drizzle with the remaining garlic butter sauce. Garnish with extra parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve with a mixed green salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
