- 1/2 cup buttermilk

- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the mashed banana and vanilla extract until combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with buttermilk (start and end with dry ingredients).
- Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full with batter. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gradually add powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Frost cooled cupcakes with whipped cream and top with sliced bananas. Enjoy!

Use ripe bananas for better flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to avoid dense cupcakes.
