Description

Delicious golden pastries filled with savory ground beef, perfect for family gatherings or a quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1 pack puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet.
  3. Sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper until soft.
  4. Add the ground beef and brown, breaking it into small pieces, for about 7-10 minutes.
  5. Stir in tomato paste, cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, then let the mixture cool.
  6. Roll out the pastry sheets and cut them into circles, roughly 5-6 inches in diameter.
  7. Place a tablespoon of the beef mixture in the center of each circle, fold them over, and seal the edges by pressing down with a fork.
  8. Brush the tops with beaten egg for that perfect golden finish.
  9. Bake on a lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until they’re golden brown.

Notes

For delicious variations, try using chicken or a vegetarian filling, or add cheese for extra flavor.
