Elegant baked pears filled with creamy goat cheese, sweet honey, and tart cranberries a simple yet sophisticated dish perfect for entertaining or a cozy dessert.
Ingredients
4 ripe pears, halved and cored
4 oz goat cheese
1/4 cup dried cranberries
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Arrange pear halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
3. Brush pears lightly with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and cinnamon.
4. Bake pears for 20 minutes until just tender.
5. Remove from oven and fill each pear cavity with goat cheese.
6. Top with dried cranberries and drizzle with honey.
7. Return to oven and bake for another 8–10 minutes until cheese is warm and pears are soft.
8. Remove from oven and garnish with nuts and fresh herbs if desired.
9. Serve warm.
Notes
Bosc or Anjou pears work best for baking.
For extra sweetness, drizzle with additional honey just before serving.
