Description
A quick and indulgent dish featuring Cajun seasoned shrimp and steak tossed in a creamy Alfredo sauce over fettuccine.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Start by cooking the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions. Once done, drain it and set it aside while you prepare the rest.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak pieces with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add the steak to the skillet and cook until it browns and reaches your desired doneness. Once cooked, remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and toss in the shrimp. Sprinkle them with Cajun seasoning and sauté until they turn pink and are cooked through, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the shrimp and set them aside with the steak.
- Lower the skillet heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté it until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to combine. Let the mixture simmer for a couple of minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet. Then add the cooked fettuccine. Toss everything together so the pasta is well coated in that luxurious sauce.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve the pasta hot, garnished with fresh parsley for a pop of color and fresh flavor.
