- 1 head of cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- Pickles (optional)
- Ketchup (optional)
- Mustard (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by cutting the cabbage head into individual leaves. Set those aside while we prepare the filling.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef along with the diced onions. Stir occasionally until the beef turns brown and the onions soften, around 5 to 7 minutes.
- Once the beef is cooked, drain any excess fat from the pan. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- Take a cabbage leaf and add a generous scoop of the beef mixture right in the center. Top it with shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, and optional toppings.
- Roll the cabbage leaf tightly around the filling like a burrito. Ensure it’s sealed well.
- Enjoy these wraps fresh off the skillet or serve with a garden salad or sweet potato fries.
