Description

Delightful chocolate cupcakes that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • Chocolate buttercream for frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tray with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is thin.
  5. Fill the cupcake liners about two-thirds full with batter.
  6. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting with chocolate buttercream.
