- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cups marinara sauce
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan, add garlic, and ground beef. Cook until browned.
- Add marinara sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish.
- Layer 4 noodles, half ricotta mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers twice, finishing with noodles topped with marinara and mozzarella.
- Spoon additional béchamel if desired and sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Bake for 45 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing for easier portions.
