Description

Delicious Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta that’s quick, easy, and perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta based on the package instructions. Once done, drain it and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle Cajun seasoning over them. Cook until the shrimp turns pink and cooks through, which usually takes about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream and Alfredo sauce. If you want to jazz it up a bit, feel free to add diced tomatoes at this stage. Mix everything well and let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Toss the cooked penne pasta into the sauce, and mix thoroughly so each piece gets nicely coated.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then give it a final stir.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley for a burst of color and freshness if you like.

Notes

For added texture, sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
