- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta based on the package instructions. Once done, drain it and set it aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle Cajun seasoning over them. Cook until the shrimp turns pink and cooks through, which usually takes about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Alfredo sauce. If you want to jazz it up a bit, feel free to add diced tomatoes at this stage. Mix everything well and let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Toss the cooked penne pasta into the sauce, and mix thoroughly so each piece gets nicely coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then give it a final stir.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley for a burst of color and freshness if you like.
Notes
For added texture, sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
