Description

A comforting and indulgent dish featuring tender chicken and creamy Parmesan sauce over fettuccine pasta.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions, adding salt to the water.
  2. Reserve about a cup of pasta water before draining the fettuccine.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.
  6. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  8. Whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is thick and creamy, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Toss the cooked fettuccine into the sauce and adjust consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
  10. Slice the cooked chicken, add it on top of the pasta, and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For a touch of elegance, consider topping with extra Parmesan or freshly cracked black pepper.
