Description

A delightful side dish of fresh green beans roasted with garlic and Parmesan for a crispy treat that even picky eaters will love.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes in a large bowl.
  3. Spread the green beans in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast in the oven for about 15 minutes until the beans are tender and start to get crispy.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle Parmesan cheese evenly over the beans.
  6. Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, and watch them disappear!

Notes

Serve with grilled chicken, steak, or fish, and garnish with lemon juice or slivered almonds for added flavor.
