Description

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.


Ingredients

  • 400g spaghetti
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 100ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add the garlic slices.
  3. Cook the garlic until golden brown, about 2 minutes, then add the red pepper flakes.
  4. Drain the pasta, reserving some cooking water, and add the spaghetti to the skillet.
  5. Toss the pasta in the garlic oil, adding a little reserved water if needed to coat the pasta.
  6. Season with salt and stir in the chopped parsley.
  7. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a twist, you can add shrimp or vegetables like spinach or zucchini.
