Ingredients

- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.
- Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add the garlic slices.
- Cook the garlic until golden brown, about 2 minutes, then add the red pepper flakes.
- Drain the pasta, reserving some cooking water, and add the spaghetti to the skillet.
- Toss the pasta in the garlic oil, adding a little reserved water if needed to coat the pasta.
- Season with salt and stir in the chopped parsley.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
For a twist, you can add shrimp or vegetables like spinach or zucchini.
