Description

Delicious cups of fresh strawberries layered with crispy konafah, creamy pistachio, and drizzled with melted chocolate for a heavenly dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 quart of strawberries, sliced
  • 1 10.5 oz jar of pistachio cream
  • 1 17.6 oz package of frozen konafah or kataifi dough, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons of salted butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Chocolate (e.g., milk chocolate bar or chocolate chips)
  • Chopped pistachios

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped konafah dough in batches, cooking on medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes until browned.
  2. Mix the konafah with the pistachio cream in a bowl to create a nutty filling.
  3. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler over low heat until smooth.
  4. Layer the sliced strawberries in clear cups, followed by the konafah and pistachio mixture. Drizzle with melted chocolate and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
  5. Repeat the layers until desired height is achieved. Serve immediately.

Notes

For the best flavor, use ripe strawberries and serve while the konafah is still warm for added crunch.
