Fried Spring Rolls

  • Author: oumardaabdelali

Description

Crispy and delicious fried spring rolls filled with colorful veggies and your choice of protein, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Spring roll wrappers
  • Vegetables (like cabbage, carrots, and bell peppers)
  • Protein (like shrimp, chicken, or tofu)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • Sweet chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your filling. Chop up your desired vegetables and protein into small pieces, then mix them together in a bowl. Season your mixture with salt and pepper to enhance those delicious flavors.
  2. Set up your workstation! Take a spring roll wrapper and lay it flat on a clean surface. Spoon a small amount of filling onto the center of the wrapper.
  3. Now comes the fun part: rolling! Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll it tightly from the bottom until it’s sealed. Use a little water to help stick the end of the wrapper to the roll.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. You want enough oil to partially submerge the spring rolls for that glorious crispiness.
  5. Once your oil is hot, gently place the spring rolls into the pan. Fry them until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  6. Once they are perfectly golden, remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon and allow them to drain on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  7. Finally, serve those gorgeous spring rolls with sweet chili sauce for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for 2-3 days. For longer storage, freeze uncooked spring rolls for up to 3 months.
