Description
Crispy and delicious fried spring rolls filled with colorful veggies and your choice of protein, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
- Spring roll wrappers
- Vegetables (like cabbage, carrots, and bell peppers)
- Protein (like shrimp, chicken, or tofu)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Oil for frying
- Sweet chili sauce
Instructions
- Start by preparing your filling. Chop up your desired vegetables and protein into small pieces, then mix them together in a bowl. Season your mixture with salt and pepper to enhance those delicious flavors.
- Set up your workstation! Take a spring roll wrapper and lay it flat on a clean surface. Spoon a small amount of filling onto the center of the wrapper.
- Now comes the fun part: rolling! Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll it tightly from the bottom until it’s sealed. Use a little water to help stick the end of the wrapper to the roll.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. You want enough oil to partially submerge the spring rolls for that glorious crispiness.
- Once your oil is hot, gently place the spring rolls into the pan. Fry them until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- Once they are perfectly golden, remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon and allow them to drain on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Finally, serve those gorgeous spring rolls with sweet chili sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for 2-3 days. For longer storage, freeze uncooked spring rolls for up to 3 months.
