Description

Gooey Kunafa is a rich dessert featuring crispy kunafa dough with a cheesy, gooey center, drizzled with warm sugar syrup.


Ingredients

  • 1 package kunafa dough
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the kunafa dough with melted butter until every strand is coated.
  3. Layer half of the dough into a baking dish, pressing it down gently.
  4. Spread the ricotta and mozzarella cheeses over this layer.
  5. Top with the remaining kunafa dough to cover the cheese.
  6. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown and edges are crisp.
  7. Drizzle warm sugar syrup over the top before serving.

Notes

Serve with ice cream or fresh fruits for added flavor. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
