Description

A simple yet flavorful dish featuring grilled king prawns with a buttery ginger and green onion sauce, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb king prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 4 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons white soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the butter mixture by combining softened butter, chopped green onions, grated ginger, white soy sauce, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Clean and devein the king prawns carefully.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Lather the king prawns generously with the butter mixture until well coated.
  5. Grill the prawns for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Serve hot, optionally garnished with lime juice and extra chopped green onions.

Notes

Don’t overcook the prawns; they can become rubbery. Use softened butter for better mixing. Consider skewering if cooking small prawns.
