Description

A quick and satisfying stir-fry of ground beef and broccoli in a savory sauce, perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, draining excess fat.
  2. Toss in the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Add the broccoli florets and cook for approximately 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil to create a sauce.
  5. Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring to coat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

Don’t overcook the broccoli—it should remain bright green and slightly crunchy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
