Description
A quick and satisfying stir-fry of ground beef and broccoli in a savory sauce, perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, draining excess fat.
- Toss in the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add the broccoli florets and cook for approximately 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil to create a sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring to coat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over cooked rice.
Notes
Don’t overcook the broccoli—it should remain bright green and slightly crunchy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
