Description
Creamy banana pudding layered with vanilla wafers and fresh banana slices, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 large ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup vanilla wafers
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
- Start by combining the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a medium saucepan. Heat this mixture over medium heat while stirring constantly until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once the pudding thickens, remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Let the pudding cool slightly. While it cools, gather your sliced bananas and vanilla wafers.
- Begin layering your pudding cups! Start with pudding, then add sliced bananas followed by vanilla wafers, repeating until filled.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Spoon the whipped cream on top of your pudding cups and garnish with extra banana slices and vanilla wafers.
- Cover the cups and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for the best flavor. Don’t skip the chilling time for enhanced taste.
