Description

Delicious homemade chicken nuggets that are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, perfect for family gatherings or casual dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, chopped into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 cups canola oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Add the chopped chicken to a food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Mix in the onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, salt, sugar, water, and cornstarch until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 2″ x 2″ rectangles and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Pop the nuggets into the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  5. Heat oil in a pot or deep fryer until hot.
  6. Coat each nugget in flour, dip them in the beaten eggs, then roll them in breadcrumbs until fully covered.
  7. Fry the nuggets in batches for about 6-8 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove the nuggets with a slotted spoon and let them drain on paper towels.
  9. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

Freeze the nuggets before frying to maintain their shape and ensure even cooking. Adjust spices to taste for personalized flavors.
