- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, chopped into pieces
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- ¼ cup water
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 cups canola oil for frying
Instructions
- Add the chopped chicken to a food processor and blend until smooth.
- Mix in the onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, salt, sugar, water, and cornstarch until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 2″ x 2″ rectangles and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Pop the nuggets into the freezer for about 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pot or deep fryer until hot.
- Coat each nugget in flour, dip them in the beaten eggs, then roll them in breadcrumbs until fully covered.
- Fry the nuggets in batches for about 6-8 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove the nuggets with a slotted spoon and let them drain on paper towels.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
Freeze the nuggets before frying to maintain their shape and ensure even cooking. Adjust spices to taste for personalized flavors.
