- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pita bread
- Fresh vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers)
- Garlic sauce or tahini sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Mix the olive oil, yogurt, and all the spices until you create a marinade that’s smoky and aromatic.
- Add your chicken to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated, then cover and let it marinate for at least one hour (overnight recommended).
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked through and slightly charred.
- Remove the chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the sliced chicken wrapped in pita bread, topped with fresh vegetables and your choice of garlic or tahini sauce.
