  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, a pinch (optional)
  • Chili paste or sriracha (optional)
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary, for garnish
  • Chopped parsley or cilantro, for garnish
  • Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by patting the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. This helps achieve that wonderful crispy skin.
  2. Lightly season the salmon with black pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice until well combined.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  6. Once the skin is crispy, flip the fillets over with a spatula.
  7. Spoon the glaze over the top of the salmon and let them cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  8. When the salmon is cooked through, remove it from heat and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top.
  9. Garnish with herbs and sesame seeds for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding chili paste or sriracha to the glaze.
