Description
A delicious honey-garlic glazed salmon recipe that pairs sweet and savory flavors for a quick weeknight meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 skin-on salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Red pepper flakes, a pinch (optional)
- Chili paste or sriracha (optional)
- Fresh thyme or rosemary, for garnish
- Chopped parsley or cilantro, for garnish
- Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Start by patting the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. This helps achieve that wonderful crispy skin.
- Lightly season the salmon with black pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice until well combined.
- Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them.
- Once the skin is crispy, flip the fillets over with a spatula.
- Spoon the glaze over the top of the salmon and let them cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- When the salmon is cooked through, remove it from heat and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top.
- Garnish with herbs and sesame seeds for a beautiful presentation.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding chili paste or sriracha to the glaze.
