Description

A creamy and zesty lemon garlic sauce that’s perfect over pasta, chicken, or vegetables. Easy to prepare and great for impressing guests.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Start by melting the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until it begins to foam slightly.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 60 to 90 seconds until fragrant and golden. Be careful not to burn it!
  3. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring. Add the lemon zest and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt completely.
  6. Add the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  7. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley just before serving.
  8. Serve the sauce immediately over pasta, chicken, seafood, or vegetables.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or whole milk. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
