Description

A heartwarming dish featuring flaky salmon topped with a rich, creamy sauce of Dijon mustard, herbs, and garlic, perfect for special occasions or casual dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, and place them skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic, dill, parsley, and paprika until combined.
  4. Pour the creamy sauce over the salmon in the skillet.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra herbs if desired.

Notes

For a delightful pairing, serve with mashed potatoes, arugula salad, or roasted vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
