Description

Delicious Mozzarella Stick Fries combine crispy exteriors and cheesy goodness, making them the ultimate comfort food.


Ingredients

  • 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Marinara sauce (optional)
  • Ranch dressing (optional)
  • Garlic aioli (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the mozzarella sticks in half for longer pieces if desired.
  3. Dredge each mozzarella stick in flour, shaking off the excess.
  4. Dip the floured mozzarella stick into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  5. Roll the egg-coated mozzarella stick in the breadcrumbs, pressing to adhere.
  6. Repeat this process for all cheese sticks.
  7. Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until they are golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  9. Serve hot with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or garlic aioli for dipping.

Notes

For extra crunch, double dip the mozzarella sticks before frying.
