Description

Perfectly seared ribeye steak topped with fragrant garlic butter, ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary, optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by letting your steaks sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. While that’s happening, generously season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Grab a large skillet and heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Once the oil is ready, add the steaks to the skillet.
  5. Let them cook without moving for about 4-5 minutes.
  6. After 4-5 minutes, flip the steaks over.
  7. Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
  8. Continue cooking and spend the next 4-5 minutes basting the steaks.
  9. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
  10. Pour the garlic butter from the skillet over the top of the steaks before serving.

Notes

Let the steak rest after cooking to ensure juiciness.
