Description
Perfectly seared ribeye steak topped with fragrant garlic butter, ideal for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary, optional)
Instructions
- Start by letting your steaks sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- While that’s happening, generously season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Grab a large skillet and heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is ready, add the steaks to the skillet.
- Let them cook without moving for about 4-5 minutes.
- After 4-5 minutes, flip the steaks over.
- Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
- Continue cooking and spend the next 4-5 minutes basting the steaks.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Pour the garlic butter from the skillet over the top of the steaks before serving.
Notes
Let the steak rest after cooking to ensure juiciness.
