Description
A refreshing watermelon agua fresca perfect for hot summer days, combining sweet watermelon with a splash of lime.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups diced watermelon
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
- Juice of 1 lime
- Mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Start by gathering your ingredients. If you haven’t done so already, go ahead and dice your watermelon into cubes.
- In a blender, combine the diced watermelon, 2 cups of water, sugar (if you prefer a sweeter drink), and lime juice.
- Blend everything together until you achieve a smooth consistency. This should only take about 30 seconds to a minute.
- If you’d like a smoother beverage, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher. This step is optional based on your preference; if you enjoy the pulp, feel free to skip it!
- Finally, serve the agua fresca over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves for a beautiful presentation.
Notes
Store any leftover agua fresca in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. It can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
