Description

Freshly fried sweet donuts, perfect for any occasion and easy to make at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar (plus extra for dredging)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix together the flour, milk, yeast, and sugar until a dough forms. Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rise until doubled in size (about 30 minutes).
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out donuts using a round cutter.
  3. Heat oil in a fryer or deep pan over medium heat. Fry the donuts until golden brown on both sides (1-2 minutes).
  4. Remove donuts from the oil and dredge in sugar while still warm.
  5. Serve and enjoy! Optional: serve with fruit, coffee, or drizzle with chocolate or caramel.

Notes

Knead well for a soft texture, monitor oil temperature, and dredge while warm for best results.
