- 2 teaspoons yeast
- 1/2 cup sugar (plus extra for dredging)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix together the flour, milk, yeast, and sugar until a dough forms. Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rise until doubled in size (about 30 minutes).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out donuts using a round cutter.
- Heat oil in a fryer or deep pan over medium heat. Fry the donuts until golden brown on both sides (1-2 minutes).
- Remove donuts from the oil and dredge in sugar while still warm.
- Serve and enjoy! Optional: serve with fruit, coffee, or drizzle with chocolate or caramel.
