Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells

Description

Delicious spinach and ricotta stuffed shells, perfect for family gatherings and weeknight meals.


Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Italian seasoning to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until they’re al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Fill each pasta shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place the stuffed shells in the dish and cover with remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with a fresh green salad or garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
