Description
A bold, crowd-pleasing sushi bake made with tender salmon, creamy spicy mayo, and seasoned rice all baked together and served scoop-style for an easy, crave-worthy meal.
Ingredients
2 cups cooked sushi rice
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 lb salmon fillet, cooked and flaked
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2–3 tbsp sriracha (to taste)
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp furikake seasoning
Sliced green onions (for garnish)
Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Nori sheets (for serving)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a bowl, mix warm sushi rice with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.
3. Press seasoned rice evenly into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
4. In another bowl, combine flaked salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, and cream cheese.
5. Spread salmon mixture evenly over the rice layer.
6. Sprinkle furikake seasoning over the top.
7. Bake uncovered for 18–22 minutes until heated through and lightly golden on top.
8. Remove from oven and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
9. Serve warm with nori sheets for scooping.
Notes
You can substitute canned salmon or imitation crab if desired.
Adjust spice level by increasing or decreasing sriracha.
Leftovers reheat well and are great for meal prep.
