Description

A big, soft cookie topped with creamy pink buttercream, perfect for celebrating love on Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • Pink buttercream frosting (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a heart-shaped baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and salt until creamy.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the cookie dough into the prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool completely.
  10. Top with pink buttercream frosting before serving.

Notes

Serve slices with extra chocolate chips or sprinkles. Pair with vanilla ice cream for a delightful treat!
