- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- Pink buttercream frosting (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a heart-shaped baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and salt until creamy.
- Add the vanilla extract and eggs, and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the cookie dough into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely.
- Top with pink buttercream frosting before serving.
Notes
Serve slices with extra chocolate chips or sprinkles. Pair with vanilla ice cream for a delightful treat!
