- 2 Plant-Based Burger Patties (2 oz each)
- 2 Slices Vegan American Cheese
- 1 Tomato Slice
- Iceberg Lettuce
- Dill Pickle Slices
- 1 Burger Bun
- Mustard
- 3 lbs. Yellow or Brown Onions (diced)
- 2 Tbsp Vegan Butter
- 2 Tbsp Neutral Oil (Vegetable, Canola, etc.)
- Salt
- Sugar
- 1 cup Vegan Mayo
- 1/4 cup Ketchup
- 2 Tbsp Dill or Sweet Relish
- 1 Tbsp Vegan Worcestershire
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- Salt & Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Heat the oil: Start by heating the neutral oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the onions: Add the diced onions to the skillet, and sprinkle with a bit of salt and sugar. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
- Prepare the special sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine vegan mayo, ketchup, dill or sweet relish, vegan Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Cook the burger patties: In another pan, melt vegan butter and cook the burger patties according to package instructions. Add the vegan cheese in the last minute.
- Assemble your burger: Spread mustard on the bun, layer lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, burger patty with cheese, dill pickle slices, and special sauce.
Notes
Customize the sauce to your taste preferences. Use fresh, crisp produce for better flavor.
